Job Title: IT Account Sales Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
The IT Sales Account Manager’s Job is to maintain and grow sales by retaining existing accounts, winning new customers by providing adequate pre and post technical service.
The selected candidate must help in improving gross margin for the product range in line with company budgets and strategic plans.
Ultimately, selected candidate should be able to work independently to grow our business and drive sales by building successful, long-term client relationships and leveraging on contacts to expand reach.
6 months to full time opportunity. This job is a remote work from home (80% of the time) role or as dictated by business exigencies.
It Sales Account Manager’s Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality, or quantity.
Day to Day Management:
To manage the day-to-day operations of sales & service, creating and following leads, and converting same to sales
To ensure sales development, provide technical assistance, and facilitate customers for various projects and products to boost sales.
To deal with customer grievances and follow-up with technical team for resolution and various customer trials analysis and support.
To coordinate with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure a smooth flow of interaction and transaction.
Sales Growth Targets:
To ensure Sales Targets are achieved as per assigned product and key accounts through managing the effective sales strategy and follow-up to ensure accomplishment of sales operational plans.
Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
Supervise account representatives to ensure sales increase
To develop networks wherever the opportunity arises, and promote same for higher coverage.
Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
To develop a good customer base and manage customer relations.
To focus actively on Key Accounts and seek support from various functional teams/management where appropriate to ensure a prompt solution to their satisfaction.
To build accurate and detailed profiling for the Key Accounts to explore new business opportunities.
To prepare and recommend sales budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure business alignment.
To prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
Well exposed to B2B Marketing in the IT and Tech Industry in Nigeria.
B.Sc Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field.
Minimum of 5+ Years. of Experience with servicing the IT & Tech industry with experience in the development and sales of virtual products.
Proven work experience as a Sales account manager or Sales account executive
Hands on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience
Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office
Understanding of sales performance metrics
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time
Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
Goal-oriented, organized team player
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Self-motivated and self-directed
Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
Demonstrated and proven sales results
Fluent communication in person, on the phone, and in email
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
